GENERAL SIM REGISTRATION FAQs
1. Why do I have to participate on the SIM Registration?
• It is because this request comes from the government of Tanzania
• It is a national security issue
• It will help us to serve you in a very professional manner 
• It will help us to communicate and address you on the proper way
• It will give us an easy access to identify you especially when we have some offers & promotions and 
   some winners on those events.
• No one can pretend that he is the owner of your number to misuse it or make SIM replacement

2. What do you mean by full name? 
The customer should give us his first name and middle name and last name

3. Why I have to give my address, region & district? 
To have your contacts in case something happened to you like losing you SIM card and SIM replacement. Informing
the agent about your contacts will be used a reference.

4.Is my personal information confidential? 
Yes off course, no one can have an access to your personal date it is only will be used to make sure that your owner
of SIM card in case you want to make SIM replacement or to know your call history for example

5. Why do I have to submit my picture and a copy of my Id to buy Zantel number? 
Your picture and ID are part of your identification for Zantel references and your protection. This detail will help Zantel
and you during problems; hence you will be easily identified and assisted. And to make easy for the customer, he has
the option to bring any kind of Id like Passport, Voter Card, Driving Licence & etc...

6. Why do I have to provide my Birth date & Gender? 
Such information will help us to target you with the suitable offer and promotion. That also will help us provide you
with best services and products which match your gender and your age such as youth and woman services & etc....

7. Why do I have to provide Zantel with my contacts?
In case your number is out of reach and we need to provide you important and urgent information.

8. Why do I have to sign the document? 
Your signature is requested to verify and confirm that you are the owner and your signature will be the witness of that.

9. I can’t read and write so how do I sign the document? 
You can sign your document with finger print

10. What happened if I don’t sign the document or register 
Your line will be suspended if your existing subscriber and for new subscriber your SIM request will not be accepted

11. Is it possible for someone to sign or register the Sim registration document on behalf?
No.! Sim registration form will be signed or filled with SIM card users or applicant only; this is to avoid wrong
information or confusion
